GMXP Makes it Happen
Learn more about the GMXP Protocol
Using an extensible design and our robust proprietary implementation, our protocol keeps everyone in the same movie theater, watching the same movie and hearing what everyone else is saying. We call it the Group Media eXperience Protocol (GMXP), but it will stay out of your way; you can just call it magic.
GMXP automatically keeps everyone synchronized by creating a shared clock between all the connected clients, so you don't have to worry about starting your movies at the same time. GMXP is also a simple protocol; it requires just one outgoing TCP port (any port will do), so it's easy to configure your firewall or router to set up a server. Bandwidth use is minimal, too, so it won't run up your ISP bill.
