Peanut Gallery isn't just a “video player”...it's what we like to call a Shared Media Experience. It's not just about watching, but about interacting...with the movie and each other via actions and chat.
Peanut Gallery lets users talk to each other via built-in text chat and iChat integration. With Text Chat active, simply start typing. Peanut Gallery's chat input line appears when you start to type. Press Enter/Return and your clever quips are sent to everyone in the theater.
Wanna make it really lively? Via Peanut Gallery's built-in iChat integration, you can start a multiparty audio chat with every capable visitor in your theater, automatically. Nothing to type in, no picking from a list...it just works!
But what if all of your friends and family don't have a copy of Peanut Gallery yet? We understand that its no fun to play by yourself, so Peanut Gallery comes with Peanut Gallery Matinée, a lightweight* “client-only” version you can give to your friends!
*Peanut Gallery Matinée is a “client only” version, meaning it doesn't allow for hosting theaters...just joining.
Additionally, only the John (Generic Guy) and Jane (Generic Gal) characters are available, and all participants are either seen as John or Jane in Peanut Gallery Matinée. Peanut Gallery Matinée doesn't save sessions, or play back saved sessions.

Requirements:
Mac OS X version 10.4.5 or better. 512MB Ram. 75MB Hard Disk Space for minimal install (2.5GB Hard Disk Space for full install of extra media and tutorial video), QuickTime 7 (version 7.1 recommended). For full
graphical experience a Core Image supported Graphics card on any Macintosh computer with a 1.5Ghz or faster PowerPC G4, a PowerPC G5 or any Intel Core Processor is required. Requires Broadband Internet connection. Voice Chat requires iChat compatible built-in or external mic. DVD Drive Required for installation.
Peanut Gallery is Universal and compatible with the new Intel Macs.
Peanut Gallery also works with your .mac account.
